The event uses a Survivor-style reverse raffle in which participant names are removed one by one during live draws. The fundraiser began as a creative response during the COVID-19 pandemic and has become a regular part of the agency's fundraising. Dawn Froese, the agency's executive director, said participants hope to be among the last names remaining.
Key details:
- Teams: Groups of four register for $100 ($25 per person).
- Eliminations: Daily live draws at noon on Facebook run from Feb. 23 through March 6.
- Deadline and age: Registration closes Feb. 22 at 4:00 p.m., and participants must be at least 18 years old due to lottery rules.
