Aurora is hosting a two-day Arctic Adventure that coincides with Valentine's Day and the Winter Olympics. Events take place Saturday, Feb. 14 at Aurora Town Square and Monday, Feb. 16 at Town Park. The town expanded its annual Family Day tradition across two locations to offer a mix of indoor and outdoor experiences. Organizers say the program includes workshops, live shows and winter attractions.
Planned activities:
- Saturday at Aurora Town Square runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with live entertainment and hands-on workshops.
- Workshops focus on crochet, string art and diamond art with Valentine's and Olympic themes; registration is listed at aurora.ca/arcticadventure with a nominal materials fee.
- Performances and demonstrations include an interactive Frozen story time by Marquee Theatrical Productions, Speaking of Wildlife, Mad Science and a Pine Tree Potters Guild showcase.
- Monday at Town Park begins at 10 a.m. and features the Great Canadian Lumberjack Show (10:15 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.), two performances by juggler Kobbler Jay, a noon Speaking of Wildlife show and a fire performance from Hoop You.
- Outdoor highlights include the Snow Valley Mini Snow Tubing run, bonfire stations, and three ice carvings at each location; Town Park sculptures are themed to the 2026 Winter Olympics and include a frozen-medal activity where kids chip ice-filled water balloons to retrieve medals.
