Organizers said the event paired snowshoe races with community activities including dog sled demonstrations, skating, tobogganing, arts and crafts, a bonfire and a shared lunch. The event is run by Hastings Destination Trails Inc. and hosted at Cedar Ridge Camp, a year‑round outdoor education and retreat centre on Wannamaker Lake. Local organisers described the day as a successful community gathering that drew participants and visitors from nearby communities.
