u3a Luton is marking its 30th year in 2026 and will hold an anniversary event at Christchurch, Bushmead on Saturday 18 April from 10.30am to 4pm. In December 2025 members enjoyed a festive general meeting with entertainer Richard Stark, mince pies, and the Chair's Festive Charity Shop Jumper Competition, which drew 27 participants. The group runs many interest activities ranging from crochet and croquet to photography and philosophy. The Lord Lieutenant of Bedfordshire is scheduled to attend and cut the celebration cake.
