The fourth annual Mark Starr Cutter Classic will take place Saturday, Jan. 24, in the Quarry Gymnasium at Bedford Middle School. The event features eighth-grade boys' and girls' basketball teams from the region and will run from about 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. All proceeds will support a scholarship given in memory of Mark Starr, a longtime Bedford Middle School coach and teacher who passed away in 2021. A silent auction will run inside the gym during the day; the auction was introduced last year.
