Kathryn Fullerton will hold a 12-hour knitathon on Saturday 7 February, knitting at the Cornerstone in Scalloway in the morning and at the Noost in Lerwick in the afternoon and evening. The pieces made during the session will be sold, with proceeds going to Muscular Dystrophy UK. Fullerton has raised more than £86,000 for various causes over the last 15 years and chooses a different charity each year. Her past events have included sponsored walks, hair shaving, abseiling and pop-up charity shops.
