The family foy was organised by volunteers from the Scalloway Youth and Community Centre and held at the Scalloway Boating Club. The afternoon offered family-friendly squad acts and refreshments, while the evening brought the guizers' return when squads performed for one another. The night concluded with the handover from Guizer Jarl Sidney Nicolson to the incoming jarl, Marcus Macdonald.
Event details:
- The family foy was hosted at the Scalloway Boating Club and run by Scalloway Youth and Community Centre volunteers.
- Four squads attended the family foy in addition to the Jarl's Squad, with hot dogs and snacks provided.
- The evening guizers' return gathered all of Scalloway's squads to share performances they might not otherwise see.
- Attendance was high, with only a few members absent because they were away from Shetland or unwell.
- The handover from Guizer Jarl Sidney Nicolson to Marcus Macdonald took place, and Marcus and his squad will start preparing for Scalloway Fire Festival 2027.
Summary:
