Highland RNLI receives £14,650 after local golf fundraiser

A Boxing Day golf tournament at the Isle of Skye raised £14,650, which was split equally between Portree and Kyle RNLI lifeboat stations; 40 golfers and local sponsors took part in the event.

Forty golfers met at the Isle of Skye Golf Club for a Boxing Day tournament that raised funds for local RNLI stations. Councillor John Finlayson organised the event with sponsorship from a number of companies linked to the area. Players enjoyed good weather and later took part in an auction and a raffle of donated prizes. The cheque was handed over at Kyle lifeboat station to representatives from both Portree and Kyle.
