Neath College held its first Culture Day last week, bringing together students, staff and local partners for performances, food and cultural displays. The event forms part of a wider inclusion commitment and organisers intend to introduce the day across the NPTC Group of Colleges. Activities included musical and dance performances, cultural stalls and contributions from community organisations. The programme aimed to reflect the diverse backgrounds present across the college community.

- Stalls and partners included Race Council Cymru, South Wales Police, EYST, NPTCVS, African Community Centre, Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, Filipino and Chinese community groups, Welsh heritage staff, Foundation Adult Community Learning and International Higher Education, with music and creative performance students also taking part.
- The NPTC College and NPTCVS partnership platform 'Chai and Chat Neath' attended; it is reported as made up of 19 nationalities and 55 members and offered henna, artefacts and cultural exchange items.
- Food was central to the day, with vendors and tastings such as Goggis International Cuisine, Hungarian goulash samples, Filipino dishes and a range of South Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine samples.
- College staff reported that the day encouraged curiosity, connection and the formation of new clubs and societies, and highlighted ongoing equality, diversity and inclusion work.
