The Common Ground Project, led by the Northern Ireland Federation of Housing Associations and supported by PEACEPLUS (managed by the Special EU Programmes Body), has launched to promote inclusion and cross-cultural understanding. It brings housing organisations and residents together to highlight the role of housing in peacebuilding. The initiative will run across Northern Ireland and the border region until October 2028 and will focus on supporting newcomer communities. The launch emphasised empowering residents, building shared leadership, and nurturing trust between neighbours.
