University of Lancashire marks 10 years of training medical doctors.

The University of Lancashire is marking the 10th anniversary of its Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) course. Since the programme began, 516 doctors have graduated and many now work in NHS hospitals across the country. Undergraduates have studied at the Preston, Burnley and Westlakes campuses and completed clinical placements at several regional NHS trusts. The MBBS course is recognised by the General Medical Council and was initially open to international students before Government backing allowed UK applicants.
