Two new fire stations for the Jupiter Fire Department are approaching the final stages of construction, the department announced. The projects began after site approval by the Jupiter City Council in July 2024. Site plans were developed with input from nearby residents and include landscaping and park elements. Darrel Donatto is overseeing the design and construction of both facilities.
Construction updates:
- Cinquez Fire Station: exterior waterproofing was completed and the roof passed inspection; ductwork installation is underway on the second floor while first floor framing nears completion; the apparatus bay and mechanical pad concrete pours are finished. The department reported ceiling spray foam was expected to be completed by January 9 and that window installation should be done by next week.
- Piatt Place Fire Station: interior insulation and drywall on the first floor are complete and work on the second floor is underway; painting on the first floor was expected to begin next week. The parking lot is prepared for asphalt and sidewalks have been formed and are ready for concrete. Roof foam insulation is finished except in stairwells, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue has approved the fire lines, and inspections for water and wastewater lines are underway. Window installation is expected to begin next week.
Summary:
The nearing completion of these two stations reflects several reported milestones on both interior and exterior work, including insulation, drywall, concrete pours, and approvals of fire lines. The Jupiter Fire Department has said the new stations are planned to open in October 2026, and remaining work includes final installations and inspections before that opening.
