Miriam Althea Keller, 79, of Palermo, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Dec. 21, 2025 and passed peacefully at the Maine Veterans' Home in Augusta with her husband, Dennis, at her side. She was born in Vassalboro on Jan. 21, 1946 and was raised in Palermo. Miriam attended Erskine Academy and graduated from the University of Maine at Orono with a degree in Animal Husbandry and a minor in Sociology. She worked as an Adoption Social Worker in Nebraska and Maine and was active in many Palermo organizations, including Palermo Days and the Palermo Historical Society.
