Bilt 2.0 cards add mortgage rewards and a new earning model.

Bilt has rolled out a new Bilt 2.0 credit card lineup with three products: the Bilt Blue, Bilt Obsidian and Bilt Palladium. The launch expands eligible housing payments to include personal mortgages and changes how housing rewards are earned. Under the new model, Bilt Cash earned on non-housing purchases is used to unlock Bilt Points for rent and mortgage payments. Bilt also introduced welcome offers and revised fees and benefits across the three cards.
Key details:
- Three new cards: Bilt Blue (no annual fee, $100 Bilt Cash welcome offer), Bilt Obsidian (modest annual fee, choice of 3X category, $50 authorized user fee), and Bilt Palladium (premium card with higher annual fee and a 50,000-point welcome package plus Bilt Gold status after qualifying spend).
- All Bilt cards earn 4% back in Bilt Cash on non-housing purchases while also awarding Bilt Points; housing rewards must be unlocked by redeeming Bilt Cash.
- Conversion and limits: every $3 in Bilt Cash can unlock 100 Bilt Points on rent or mortgage payments; there is no stated annual cap on housing rewards.
- Mortgages: personal mortgage servicers are supported, multiple homes can earn rewards, and housing transactions do not affect non-housing spending limits. Cardholders may choose an optional fee-based path (typically around 3%) to earn full points on housing if they lack sufficient Bilt Cash.
- Bilt Cash expires at the end of each calendar year, with only $100 allowed to roll over into the next year.
Summary:
The program shifts housing rewards from a minimal-usage qualification model to one that requires ongoing non-housing spending to generate Bilt Cash that unlocks housing points. New applicants can apply now; existing cardholders have a January 30, 2026 deadline to select a Bilt 2.0 card for a seamless transition (new cards to arrive by February 6) and all Bilt 2.0 cards will be activated on February 7, 2026.
