A dog found in a sewer drain in the Pikes Peak region was rescued and returned to her family. The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region reported that a passerby on a neighborhood walk heard a soft whimper and located the animal in a nearby storm drain. Animal Law Enforcement Corporal Rollins responded, opened a nearby manhole and entered a tunnel with backup from Officer Moore to reach the dog. Rollins used treats to gain the dog's trust, secured her, and the animal was taken to the shelter.
