Mitsui O.S.K. Lines announced a groundbreaking ceremony on January 19 for a new seafarers' training facility to be built within the premises of the MOL Magsaysay Maritime Academy in Salitran, Dasmariñas City, Cavite. The project is being developed by MOL Training Center (Phils.) Inc., whose president is Teodorico De Guzman. The company said the facility will include modern simulators and hands-on equipment and will provide dormitory and dining spaces for trainees. The training center is intended to train Filipino seafarers and expand programs to include seafarers from across Southeast Asia.
