The festival began in 1996 as a small community gathering and has grown into a widely attended multicultural event on the Space Coast. It was founded by local leaders including Dr. Gopal Gadodia, Mahesh Shah, Judge Alli Majeed, Dr. Sue Mitra, Pravin Patel, Shirish Patel and Dr. Sharad Vyas. Organizers say the festival combines cultural performances, food, art and community service.
