The Adirondack North Country Association has launched a new three-year strategic plan titled "Building Shared Prosperity." The plan sets the nonprofit's course through 2028 and refines its mission, vision and program priorities. ANCA developed the plan with input from staff, board members, partners and community stakeholders. The organization says the plan will guide programs, partnerships and investments across the region.
Key details:
- The plan defines five strategic goals: provide accessible resource navigation and empowerment; cultivate collaborative regional development networks; generate and incubate economic and community solutions; build strong, stable and sustainable capacity; and shape and shift region-boosting narratives.
- ANCA will continue work in four main program areas: local food systems, climate and energy, small businesses, and welcoming and belonging.
- The plan is intended to guide ANCA's programs, partnerships and investments through 2028 and is described as a living document to be revisited as regional needs change.
- ANCA noted upcoming events tied to its work, including Adirondack Buyer Days on March 23–24 and the 2026 Climate & Energy Conference on May 7–8.
- The plan builds on ANCA's history as a regional nonprofit working across 14 northern New York counties since 1955.

In the near term the organization will present the plan alongside scheduled events such as Adirondack Buyer Days and the Climate & Energy Conference.
